Welcome! My name is Nancy S. Miller and I am a New York City painter, printmaker and teacher based in Manhattan and Long Island City, Queens. I graduated from Barnard College, studied art at the Art Students League and Provincetown Workshop, and received an MFA in Printmaking from the City College of New York. I have worked as an artist - painter, printmaker, and ceramic artist, in New York City and on Fire Island for many years.
I am a member of Metropolitan Artists, Long Island City Artists, and Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT.
My expressionist paintings incorporate traditional landscape and figurative painting, held together by elements of historical iconography. The viewer can identify with familiar objects while being confronted with images from less familiar cultures.
Please take a look around to see examples of distinctive style and let me know if you are interested in purchasing my work.
Thanks for coming, enjoy your visit!
